Hosea summer learning journey

Mexico

The one reason why I like mexico is because of there national coat of arms its stands for a symbol which denotes an independent state in the form of a heraldic achievement. The royal arms of a monarchy, which sometimes is identical to the national arms, is sometimes described as arms of dominion or arms of sovereignty.

  1. Kia ora Hosea! It's great to see that you have joined our summer learning journey this year. Awesome.

I also love that you have chosen to blog about Mexico. It's a fascinating country. Sadly, I have never had the chance to go there but I would definitely like to get there one day. One of my favourite things about Mexico is the food. I absolutely love nachos, fajitas, quesadillas and tacos. Do you ever eat Mexican food? I don't think that it is very popular here in New Zealand. What do you think?

Keep up the great work with your blogging. I really hope to see you online this summer :)

    Cheers, Rachel

  2. Buenos diás Hosea,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator - I work in lots of different schools with teachers and learners who, like you, are using chromebooks for their learning and blogs to share their learning. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey, great to see you have made a start and chosen Mexico. I am like Rachel and LOVE mexican food - I love tacos and especially LOVE guacamole! Have you eaten mexican food before? I have been to Tijuana for a day when I was traveling in America, it was only a tiny glimpse at Mexico so I would like to go back and explore more. I am sure you will entice me through your blogposts! Keep up the great researching, reading, writing, creating and sharing. Enjoy your summer holiday.
    Adiós
    Tania

  3. Kia ora Hosea!

I'm Mark and I am a teacher working with Rachel on the Summer Learning Journey! You've chosen well with Mexico! It is an amazing country, and if you've heard of the Mayan's or the Aztecs and their doomed civilizations, you might know that it all happened in what is today called Mexico! We still find ruins in the jungles this day! It is fascinating to learn about. I would love to travel there one day and visit their pyramids. Check out the below link to have a look at the different weapons they used in their warfare!

It looks like they mostly used spears, axes, knives, and bow and arrows. But they also have a special type of club with sharp stones in it! Below is a picture of the temples hidden among the jungles.

I read in your "about me" that you love playing PS3 on the weekends, but I guess now that you're out of school you play it every day! It would be very cool to see what you have to say or learn about Mexico, so if you're anything like me (because I also love gaming), if you start playing PS3 in the morning you might not feel like doing much else all the day - so my request is that you try jump on here and get some points with me and the others before you hit the games!

I hope you're having an awesome holiday!

    Kia Kaha!

    Mark
